With custom variables, you can create a variable that can be used in any Hierarchy or Template.

To do it:

1. Open Click on the add-on menu on the Jira Navigation bar Apps drop-down in the top navigation bar.

2. Click on the “Manage Templates” option.

3. Go to the Variables tab.

4. Click on the “Create variable” Variable” button in the Variable sectiontop right corner.

5. Enter the Name and Default values.

6. Click on the “Create” “Save” button.

Now when you have Custom Variable you can use it in text fields of Hierarchy Node

Nodes or Templates

You can manage your custom variables on the ‘Manage Variables’ page:

1. Open add-on menu on Jira Navigation bar

2. Choose Manage variables

2. Sort by Name, Owner, Created and Updated (Changed) dates.

3. Edit - click on the Variable you wish to change. Only the default value can be changed.

4. Delete.
