There are a few steps needed to be taken to integrate Smart Spam Detector

Enable the Smart Spam Detector in Jira Service Project

  1. Go to the Service Project page

  2. Click the ‘Smart Spam Detector’ item in the left navigation panel

  3. Enable the ‘Spam detection’ toggle

Add the Jira post function

  1. Go to the Project settings of the chosen project

  2. Open the ‘Workflows’ tab

  3. Click the ‘Edit’ icon in the issue workflow row

  4. Click the transition between steps of workflow where you want to activate spam detection. We recommend to use transition that goes right after the issue is created.

  5. Click the ‘Add post function' link

  6. Select the Jira workflow Smart Spam Detector post function and click the ‘Add’ button

  7. Repeat these steps for all Issue Workflows you wish to have spam filtering for

Add the Spam score field to the Issue screen

  1. Go to the ‘Issues’ page in Jira Settings

  2. Select the ‘Custom fields’ menu

  3. Select the ‘Spam scope’ field

  4. Click the ‘Associate to screens’ button

  5. Select the Issue screens from your Jira Service Projects with enabled Spam detection

  6. Click the ‘Add’ button

  7. Now the ‘Spam score’ field will be shown in the Issue View page for the newly created issues
