On any Jira issue view page, locate the 'Popular Views for Jira' panel on the right-hand side to see the engagement metrics of your project's issues.

The 'Popular Views for Jira' panel gives instant insights into which issues are garnering the most attention within the project:

  • Top 5 Issues: The panel lists the five most viewed issues, helping you understand where the focus or interest is concentrated.

  • Issue Key and View Count: For each popular issue, the panel displays the issue key alongside the number of views it has received.

  • Time Filter: Customize the time frame of the data shown using the dropdown filter. Options typically include viewing the popularity data for the day, week, or month.

Using the Popular Views Panel

To utilize the panel effectively:

  1. Review the List: Glance through the top 5 issues to quickly gauge which topics are currently most relevant to your team or stakeholders.

  2. Select Time Frame: Use the time filter dropdown to refine the list according to a specific period that interests you, allowing for targeted insights into issue relevance over time.

  3. Engage with Issues: Click on an issue key if you wish to delve deeper into the details or contribute to the ongoing discussion or resolution process.
