The Comment Templates are an important part of the Smart Comments functionality. Now it is possible to create templates for comments, save the best comments as templates, filter them by groups and apply them with the Nested Smart Comments and Native Jira comments.

To start using all advantages of the Smart Comments Templates update your Smart Comments App, open any Jira issue, and click the ‘Manage Smart Comment Templates’ button in the ‘Details’ block:

The Smart Comment Templates panel contains four main tabs:

  • Templates - here you can view, create, update and delete your Comment Templates. For easy navigation, all created Comment Templates are divided into Groups.

  • Variables - view the list of the System Variables and create, update and delete your own Custom Variables here.

  • Tags - view, create, update and delete your Tags

  • Groups - view, create, update and delete your Groups for Comment Templates
