Templates 2.0 - is a better version of templates that you have already got used to. Thanks to the new mechanics, this new version is capable of processing most of the custom Jira or the third party add-ons’ fields.

How to create the Template 2.0

Creating Template 2.0 is similar to creating regular template, except the very last step:

1. When following the template creation guide, please fill in all of the required fields and template settings.

2. Click on “…” which is located right next to the Save button.

3. In the dropdown menu, select Save as 2.0

How to update a template to the version 2.0

1. When following the template editing guide, please fill in all of the required fields and template settings.

2. Click on “…” which is located right next to the Update button.

3. In the dropdown menu, select Update as 2.0

How to downgrade a template to the previous version

While Templates 2.0 are in the experimental model (Beta), you can downgrade your Templates to the regular settings. To do that, please follow the template editing instructions.
