Release Notes 1.7.0

Smart Issue Templates is even better now! We think of our users and potential problems they may encounter on the daily basis when working with Jira. With such new features as Variables, Links, and replacement of a Node with an Issue you will never have to worry about unnecessary details. You will be able to spend your time on something that is really important!

Replace Nodes with Issues

Now, creation of repeatable sub-tasks became even easier than before. With this new feature you will be able to replace a Hierarchy Node with an existing Issue from Jira. After applying the Hierarchy Issue will be filled with sub-tasks from the Hierarchy.

Choose a Hierarchy you want to use and select a Node you want to edit with the help of the “Set Issue” button. Remember, that you can also make changes to the sub-tasks of the chosen Hierarchy.

It is very important to set links between issue in order to keep control over all of the present processes. With this feature you are now able to link Hierarchy Nodes with each other and already existing issue, and will never ever have to do it manually.

Variables

Sometimes, when creating Hierarchies, we are not sure what exactly we want to put in the Description field or which User to tag. Variables solve this problem. Simply add a variable at the place which you may want to fill in when applying the Hierarchy and we will automatically fill in the required value!

And with such system Variables as $today you will control children easily!

Change Project for the existing Hierarchy

There is no need to create identical Hierarchies to solve similar issues in different projects. Temporary Changes function was complemented with an ability to change the project or issue type right before the Hierarchy application. This is very convenient.

Change the project for the chosen Nodes in the Manage Hierarchies section of the application and apply the Hierarchy.
