The Holiday Template feature is a new addition to the Smart Time-off tool designed to help teams organize and remember their holidays.
🎯 Open the Smart Time off >> Settings >> Holiday Template tab to start using the holiday Template.
Initially, two default templates are available:
Ukrainian holidays.
An empty preset, which allows you to create custom holidays for the team
Creating a Holiday Template:
Click the ‘Create Holiday Template’.
Enter the Template name.
Select participants or user groups who will be associated with this Holiday Template.
Choose a default template or add a new holiday by clicking the ‘Add Holiday’ button.
Enter the Holiday name.
Select the date for the Holiday.
Click the ‘Save’ button to save the Holiday.
Click the ‘Save’ button to save the Holiday Template.
Now the Holiday Template was created!

Users can choose to receive notifications about upcoming holidays either through Slack or via email.
Slack integration
Teams who use Slack can integrate Smart Time-off Notifications with the Slack Bot by the following steps:
Create your Slack App
Enable Incoming Webhooks
Create an Incoming Webhook
Copy the Webhook URL
Go to the Smart Time-off menu in the Manage Apps section
Select the Integration item in the left sidebar
Click the Add a Webhook button
Select the Webhook name and paste the Webhook URL

Go to the ‘Smart Time-off’ menu in the Manage Apps section.

Click on the ‘E-mail’ to open the ‘E-mail’ integration tab.
Click on the toggler, to enable E-mail integration.
Select any available issue from the list.

The issue must be selected so that Jira can mail letters. No data will be changed in Issue, after creating new requests in Smart Time-off. Also, you can create any new test issue, in any project that will be tied to the E-mail integration in Smart Time-off |
Enable the notifications that you want to receive: Request notifications, Holiday notifications, or both.
Select the user(s) who will receive a notification to the e-mail and enable which type of notifications the user(s) will receive.
⁉️ How to Use E-mail integration for requests:
Creating a Time-Off Request: Once you've filled out your time-off details in the Smart Time-Off App, simply submit the request. The selected approvers will automatically receive an e-mail notification regarding your request.
